The first issue of Blitz Magazine appeared on the streets in January 2003, carrying cover images of Powderfinger, giving away guides to the Big Day Out. From the very first issue of the magazine, Blitz has grown into one of Australia’s best selling music publication, the go to magazine for big-name interviews, and the natural habitat of the awesome Blitz Review Section.
From the earliest editions of Blitz, it has aspired to raise the bar on all music journalist magazines through a clear and literate style and a user-friendly reviewing ethos that stressed impartial advice.
Significant investments have been made this year for new equipment that allow for professionally laid out magazines consisting of over 40 pages per month that will be full of commercially released CD reviews, unsigned band demo reviews, band profiles, gig news, interviews with bands and heaps more fantastic content.
2013 has been an unusually busy year, Blitz’s reputation has sky rocketed and we are known for being a extremely reliable source for information on new music and great reviews.
