IDM CERT 3 is all about Multimedia.
IDM is a fun, hands on subject that all the work is done on the computer. The work is as hard as you make it and marks depend on how much work you do.

IDM is a 2 year course which is split into 2 sections (1-2 and 3-4), it I then split into 4 terms. In each term we do different topics, everything we do does towards our final result. In 1-2 we learn a lot of what is in 3-4 but the basics of it, it is slightly different to the work in 3-4 so it still ticks off some of the required units to complete the course.

The units of competence are:
•       BSBCRT301A Develop and extend critical and creative thinking skills
•       CUFIND301A Work effectively in the screen and media industries
•       BSBOHS201A Participate in OHS processes
•       CUFDIG303A Produce and prepare photo images
•       CUVCOR08B Produce drawings to represent and communicate
•       CUFDIG201A Maintain interactive content
•       CUFANM301A 2D digital animations

in 1-2 IDM is marked with 1 exam at the end of the year and also marked on the work you do through out the year. With 3-4 it is a little different all the work you do in in class is a lead up to 1 of the 3 SACs at the end of each term, each SAC is worth 22%. We also are required to do an exam at the end of the year, which is worth 34% of your mark.
